Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit for an HR Manager/HR Business Partner. This is a hybrid role based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In this role you are a key partner for leadership and a valuable resource for our employees. This position is viewed as a trusted partner to help drive engagement, inclusion, and People Strategy. As an HRBP for Programs and the Operations team, you partner with hiring managers and leadership to help recruit, retain, develop, and optimize the performance and engagement of individuals and teams. This position has an integral role and commitment to the overall employee experience. You also help lead key HR processes including performance management, goal setting, and engagement and retention interventions. This position works closely with leaders to build teams that achieve their specific department goals. Most importantly, this role can think innovatively to solve problems and deliver exceptional HR services both equitably and innovatively.

- Operate as a direct point-of-contact for leaders and employees seeking clarification or HR collaboration regarding any HR process and/or procedure.
- Partners with leaders on employee relations, coaching, employee development and employee engagement.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning including identification and mobilization of talent to meet business needs.
- Improve the employee experience by helping to create a strong, inclusive culture aligned with our values.
- Serves as a trusted partner to all staff, consistently modeling cultural fluency and ensuring employees have a safe, inclusive work environment.
- Provides counsel and coaching to leaders on talent and business initiatives. Helps think through workforce planning and change initiatives to optimize team performance.
- Support and lead HR and business unit projects. Creates project plans and collaborates with others on the People team to ensure key deliverables are completed on time.
- Keeps current on talent and workforce trends. Brings forward new, innovative ideas to support our People Strategy.
- In partnership with the Safety Manager, stay abreast of safety incidents, ensure successful worker’s compensation process, and make recommendations on how to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
- Support Talent, Culture, Equity (TCE) team initiatives through facilitation of trainings and bringing updates back to your teams.
- Partner with HR, IT, and our HRIS vendor to expand the capabilities and functionality of all our HR Systems, including management of user security for our HRIS, ADP.
- Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data from the HRIS database and other sources to help drive business decisions.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of general HR experience, ideally at least 2 of which have been spent in an HRBP or HR Manager position.
- Ability to leverage strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills to relate effectively with employees at all levels and of all backgrounds.
- Understand safety policies and actively promote safe practices in the workplace.
- Ability to build strong, constructive relationships with a diverse range of individual and organizational partners, where common goals can be discovered, jointly shared, and owned for maximum impact.
- Demonstrated strong cultural competence. Experience advocating for and integrating DEI into talent initiatives.
